The SocialAdr Review

I signed up for the $47/month account on March 24th, because I was looking for a way to automate social bookmarks and social media backlinks. Every time I created a site or started a project, I didn’t want to babysit questionable bookmarking software, spend time setting up and/or signing into multiple accounts with various social bookmarking sites or spend huge amounts of time on social media sites trying to get Likes, +1′s and Tweets.

Does SocialAdr work?

Yes, SocialAdr’s bookmarking and social media marketing service does work. It delivers what it claims 100%.

You probably found this site from a search engine. The only promotion I’ve done for this site is to put the post links and homepage into my SocialAdr account, and it’s ranking #1 or on the #1 page of Google for several keywords both short and long tail.

However, just because it works doesn’t mean it’s perfect.

My Initial Results

On March 24th, I added just one bookmark of a friend’s site to test the service. I paused that bookmark on March 26th, and by then that one site received 91 social bookmarks and 2 Tweets. These submissions came from 9 different people with different IP addresses.

Now that you know SocialAdr works, let’s just jump into the bad news:

The service currently only utilizes 26 social bookmarking and social networking sites. (Updated: July 2012)
You currently cannot target your marketing efforts to specific social media sites.
“Lazy” (paid) accounts cannot earn free credits by sharing other member’s bookmarks.

The Cons Explained

The service currently only utilizes 26 social bookmarking and social networking sites.

I’ve watched this service for a little while now before signing up this month, and although it only uses 26 social media websites (4 of which are Google +1, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter); that number is growing. Also, SocialAdr offers a free bonus service, that comes with any “Lazy” (paid) account, called “SubmissionBoost.” It’s a one-time bookmarking service to up to 25 additional social bookmarking sites.

The Bottom Line

SocialAdr currently uses a relatively small list of social bookmarking sites, but the list is being updated, and your site can be submitted once to up to 25 additional sites.

You currently cannot target your marketing efforts to specific social media sites.

As marketers, we’d like to be able to tweak and tinker with every possible aspect of our marketing effort…testing, enhancing and improving. SocialAdr basically takes all the control from our hands, and puts it into the hands of real people to decide when and where they’re going to share your bookmarks and Tweet, Like or +1 your site.

Note: You can disable Facebook, LinkedIn, Google +1 and/or Twitter for specific bookmarks, but you currently cannot single out any particular social site for exclusive submissions.

The Bottom Line

You can’t control or tweak your marketing techniques while using SocialAdr. It’s all totally hands-off, automatic, organic, natural human-fueled submitting, sharing, Tweeting +1′ing and Liking.

“Lazy” (paid) accounts cannot earn free credits by sharing other member’s bookmarks.

Every night your “Lazy” (paid) account is reset with credits for the next day. It’s possible to run out of credits before the day is over and thus stop your incoming backlinks until your account is automatically reset.

Certain types of submissions “cost” more credits; for instance a Google+1 is 10 credits and a Tweet from a Twitter account with 39 followers uses 2.7 credits and social bookmarks are a fraction of a credit.

On March 29th, I received lots of bookmarks and (2) Google +1′s and my account was down to 1.2 credits by 9pm (as you can see in my first video).

You can make single purchases of credits which never expire, but I’d like to have the option of earning free credits by sharing other SocialAdr member’s sites. Even though I’d probably never get around to doing the daily work to earn them, it would be a nice addition to the service.

The Bottom Line

It is possible to run out of credits and have your sites paused until your account resets the next day, but you can make one-time purchases of credits that never expire to prevent that from happening.

It’s really cheap to get started. “Lazy” (paid) accounts start at just $17/month, and you can promote 10 websites with a $17 account and get up to 200 submissions per URL, plus Likes, +1′s and Tweets. You can even get a free account first, if your budget is really tight, and upgrade later.

SocialAdr Features

Every “Lazy” (paid) account comes with a great set of SocialAdr Features for quickly and easily promoting your site. You can receive submission notifications. Simplicity

The site is really easy to navigate and has an extremely user-friendly user interface. It’s very simple to set up your bookmarks and review your statistics. There is no learning curve, so you can get started immediately.

Quick Results

Your sites begin to get promoted after 12 hours of adding a bookmark to SocialAdr. Once they’re in the system, I’ve been getting my sites bookmarked within the first 1-2 hours. You get quick results for your sites but at a natural-looking pace which pleases the search engine gods.

Real People Promoting Your Sites

Actual human beings are doing all the submitting, Liking, +1′ing and Tweeting, so you get backlinks from different accounts with different IP addresses. This is the most important feature of SocialAdr. The backlinks you get actually count towards your off-page SEO, because they’re being made at all different times with different IP addresses at an irregular but steady rate. They are 100% genuine to search engines.

Automation

SocialAdr can save you a lot of time, especially if you have several sites. Once, you set up your bookmarks, which takes about 5 minutes or less per bookmark, you’re done. With a “Lazy” (paid) Account, all your sites are then automatically bookmarked, Liked, Tweeted and +1′d around the clock.

The Bottom Line about SocialAdr

This service exceeded my expectations. I found that I can spend more time building my business and less time trying to get +1′s, Likes and Tweets and submitting bookmarks. If you’re looking for real human submissions to various popular social media sites to score permanent backlinks and gain a presence on sites like Facebook, Google +1 and Twitter, there’s nothing cheaper or easier to use than SocialAdr.

Notifications

You can opt to be notified via email every time your site is shared allowing you to see the submissions you are getting in real time. The notifications go into detail, such as how many followers are on the Twitter account that just Tweeted your site, which SocialAdr member did the submissions, the number of submissions and to which sites.

Extensive Real Time Statistics

SocialAdr Accounts provide you with:

Running counts of the number of submissions for each bookmark
Running counts of Tweets, Facebook Likes and Google +1s

Guaranteed Quality Backlinks

With a paid (“Lazy”) account SocialAdr confirms the links once they are submitted by other members, so you don’t have to waste your time going through and checking each link to make sure it’s really there.

“SubmissionBoost”

SubmissionBoost is a bonus bookmarking service that submits your site to an additional list of social bookmarking sites, that are not apart of the SocialAdr network of sites. It can range from 10-25 other websites. It is a one-time submission that can be selected while setting up your bookmarks. SocialAdr’s network of sites is currently relatively small, but using Submission Boost, will get your site promoted to up 25 additional sites.

Automatic Pinging

SocialAdr automatically pings the pages that your sites are submitted to, so the search engines are aware that they exist and that your links have been added. This will increase the speed of indexing your sites in the search engines.

AutoFill

If you have a ton of sites to get bookmarked, the AutoFill “Magic Wand” will save you lots of time. When you’re adding bookmarks using AutoFill, all you need is the web address. You then click the “Magic Wand,” and it populates all the fields your SEO details: Title, Description and Tags for you.

Putting the “Spin” on it

This is a great tool, if you’d like to create a series of unique bookmarks for each URL. The “spin” feature allows you to put alternate phrases and words into both your titles and descriptions of your bookmarks.

For instance, let’s say your title is “The big dog was scary.”

When you type out the spin version, this is the format you would use:

The {big|large|huge|enormous} dog was {scary|frightening|intimidating}.

When someone submits your site, your title is then spun into various combinations.

Examples:

The large dog was intimidating.
The huge dog was scary.
The big dog was frightening.

As I said before, this feature also works for entire phrases as well, so you can get very creative and give your bookmarks completely unique content for search engines to crawl. This feature further solidifies the impression of real human beings submitting your site all over the internet.

How Does SocialAdr Work?

SocialAdr creates a mutually beneficial relationship between people with free and paid (“Lazy”) accounts. Essentially, the free account users are the fuel that drives the engine. They do all the submitting and in return they receive free social bookmarks from other free account users. Paid members simply sign up and receive social bookmarks and social networking submissions.

Free Accounts

Free account users need to earn credits by submitting other SocialAdr member’s bookmarks and sharing paid member’s sites on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Once enough credits are earned, they in return have their sites shared by other free account members.

To prevent the spamming of sites and the appearance of unnatural submissions, there are limits to the free account:

Only 5 link submissions can be made per day. This limits the amount of credits you can earn per day.
You can only receive a maximum of 420 social bookmark backlinks per month with a free account.
Free accounts users cannot have their own sites shared on Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn or Twitter by other members; that’s a paid member exclusive feature.

With all that said, it’s still free quality backlinks. If your budget is tight and you have the time and want to put in the work, this may be a reasonable option for you.

Paid Accounts (“Lazy” Accounts)

There are 4 tiers of paid (“Lazy”) accounts ranging from $17 to $117/month. The higher the account, the larger the number of sites you can simultaneously promote and the larger the amount of submissions per site per month you can receive.

Essentially, paid accounts allow way more sites to be promoted to a larger audience, plus the added bonus of Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn submissions, which are not included in free accounts.

Every night at 12AM your paid account is automatically replenished with credits to be used the next day.

My Paid Account First Results

After less than 5 minutes of work to set up my first bookmark, within two days my first bookmark was submitted by 9 different people onto various combinations of social bookmarking sites. It was also Tweeted twice to Twitter accounts with followers. My first bookmark received a total of 91 bookmark submissions, plus 2 Tweets in less than 2 days.

Once you decide on which account is right for you, you simply sign up and add your first bookmark.

The Beauty of Automatic Social Bookmarking – By Real Humans!

The main reason I made this SocialAdr Review site was because after being skeptical, I was impressed by the simplicity of the service and the ease of use. I’m trying to be a minimalist in all aspects of my life, so why should the process of social bookmarking be so cumbersome, time-consuming and tedious.

I wasn’t comfortable with automatic social bookmarking software or social bookmarking services that utilized robots and scripts to trick search engines into ranking your site. First, they’re usually too complicated and time-consuming to set up meaning hours (if not days) of riding the learning curve. Secondly, you have to babysit the software, and when it crashes, you have to restart the whole process. Third, they’re too expensive. Fourth, I’d like my sites to be built-to-last. I don’t want to put all this effort into creating a site, getting traffic and building a business, only to have the search engines catch me using their frowned upon tactics and punish my website indefinitely.

There had to be another way.

While SocialAdr doesn’t solve EVERY problem, and you can read more about that in my complete SocialAdr Review, it does fulfill a lot of marketing needs.
